THE INDIA PENTECOSTAL CHURCH OF GOD [IPC], BARODA
CITY PRAYER HALL, Vadodara
The spectacular spirit revival breeze following the devastating 2nd World War touched the hearts of many and inspired a few servants of God from Kerala to move towards North India with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As a result, some people were choosen by God for his work in Gujarat, and Baroda city was also blessed with a small fellowship to pray for the city and its people in early 1960s and to spread the message of love of Jesus Christ.
The small prayer group of such chosen people later grew into a congregation, which caried out the basic and the most important activity of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and organised prayer groups in the neighbouring cities. It is heartening to remember that the support and co-operation of the other groups, despite doctrinal disagreemnets, extended to the first pentecostal church.
We thank sincerely all our our early members, supporters, well-wishers who had served the Lord with missionary zeal and request for their continued prayer and support for the growth of this church in Jesus Christ in the turbelent era of change. Also we affirm our commitment to pray for the state of Gujarat espicially for the city of Baroda (Vadodara) for its continued growth and properity with abundunce of peace
May the love of Lord Jesus Christ be with all of us.
